Project Scope

  • Vehicle Type: Van
  • Vehicle Year: 2022
  • Vehicle Make: GMC
  • Vehicle Model: Savana

The GMC Savana is a great work vehicle option for many trades. The cargo area is spacious and allows for a variety of configurations. In addition, its back and side panel doors give crews excellent access to both the rear and front of the cargo area.

Shelving

Adjustable Shelving Units

Messer Work Van Solutions installed three adjustable shelving units, each with three shelves capable of holding up to 100 lbs. when weight is evenly distributed.

The base of the shelving units is contoured, giving crews room to slide and store wide material on the van floor. While not installed here, this contour also gives you the flexibility to install a sliding bed tray.

The shelves can quickly adjust by removing the front bolts, then repositioned up or down in 1-in. increments. This flexibility is ideal for jobs that require various sized tools, parts and equipment.

Spool

5-Bar Spool Holder

A 5-bar spool holder was attached to the side of the shelving unit, giving crews access to wire and other spooled materials. The spool bar lifts up and out of its slots for easy spool replacement.

Parition

Steel Partition

Messer also installed a perforated steel partition. The partition safely separates the crew and cargo area, protecting employees from shifting cargo. At the same time, the perforated panels:

  • Give crews visibility into the cargo area.
  • Reduced driver blind spots.
  • Allow for heat / air conditioning to travel into the cargo area.

This partition also includes a door kit enabling crews to easily access the cab without exiting the vehicle—a very nice option on rainy or cold days.

Steel Wire

Window Wire Screen

Wire screens were attached to the doors to protect windows from shifting cargo. These screens also protect cargo from smash-and-grab theft.

Rack

Utility Rack

A ProfileTM HD Utility Rack was installed on the roof of this GMC Savana. Its sleek, low-profile design prevents wind resistance and noise. It also offers a 750 lb. load capacity thanks to the 3-in. x 1.5-in. reinforced, extruded aluminum crossbars.

The best part about this rack system is it offers a no-drill installation, meaning the van exterior is not damaged during installation.

Aluminum Conduit Carrier

An aluminum conduct carrier was installed in the middle of the utility rack. This carrier is an enclosed, secure box that protects contents from weather, theft and damage. It is available in both 10.5-ft. and 12.5-ft lengths.
